State suppresses preliminary revenue forecast released Monday
The Dunleavy administration removed two important documents from the website of the state Department of Revenue, reports released Monday about the outlook for state revenues.
While it is clear that the revenue forecast needs to be reworked because of the recent collapse in oil prices, the documents were paid for with public money and should not be hidden from the public. The revenue department may disagree with the contents of the reports, but that is not the point.
I read these documents Monday and downloaded them. There is no need to suppress them.
